The 2.5" D2 tool steel blade is hand ground by Silver Stag craftsmen to a razor edge and heat treated to 62 Rockwell hardness — delivering the extreme wear resistance, outstanding edge retention, and toughness that D2 is famous for, in a compact package that gives you maximum control for precision work. The blade geometry is specifically designed for the tasks that small game trappers and hunters encounter most: clean, controlled cuts through hide and sinew in tight spaces, detailed caping work around the ears and eyes of trophy animals, and the precise field work that demands a light, agile blade over a heavy one. Note that a light coat of oil after use keeps the D2 blade in peak condition.

The hidden tang construction gives the HT Trapper a slim, elegant profile and puts the beautiful crown antler handle front and center. Each handle is made from select North American antler — hand shaped, hand polished, and fitted by Silver Stag craftsmen. Because antler is a natural material, no two handles are ever identical — the color, texture, and character of your knife will be unique to you. At just 6.5" overall this is a knife that disappears in a pack, vest pocket, or on a belt and stays out of the way until the moment you need it. Comes with a handmade leather sheath.
