Case XX 2003 Tony Bose 5 Blade Abalone 5 Blade Sowbelly Collectible Knife. The pattern on this knife is TB8539 SS. This is a Tony Bose Design designated by the TB in the pattern number. This knife includes a Tested XX Nickel Silver Inlay Shield inlaid into the abalone handle. The color of the abalone and the material pattern is beautiful and vivid. The knife is 3 7/8” long when closed. This knife comes in the original Black Velvet display box and the original outside sleeve. This is a rare piece as it is a 5 Blade Sowbelly, with the TB39 and TB8539 part numbers on the box. However the blade is marked as a T.B.8339 SS, taken from the 3 Blade Tony Bose Sowbelly Run. There were only 500 pieces of this knife made.
This Case XX is from the Mother of Pearl Collection made in 2003. It is from a private collection and it does not appear to have ever been carried or sharpened.
