The Bailout was engineered from the ground up around one core principle — maximum strength with minimal weight. At just over 2 oz, the 537-09 maintains that ultralight promise while delivering meaningful upgrades where it matters. The 3.38" Japanese-profile tanto blade is crafted from M390 stainless steel (60-62 HRC) — a third-generation powder-metal alloy made by Böhler-Uddeholm and widely regarded as one of the finest premium knife steels available, delivering an exceptional combination of edge retention, hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The stonewash finish hides field use marks beautifully while providing enhanced wear and corrosion resistance in a clean, refined aesthetic that lets the quality of the steel speak for itself. The tanto geometry maximizes tip strength for piercing tasks while retaining excellent slicing capability along the primary edge. Dual ambidextrous thumb studs provide smooth one-handed deployment.
