The 163-1 was redesigned from the ground up with updated blade geometry and handle ergonomics that reflect years of real-world bushcraft feedback. The 4.38" drop-point blade is crafted from CPM-S30V stainless steel (58-60 HRC) with a stonewash finish and a pronounced fuller — delivering outstanding edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance that holds up through extended backcountry use. The flat grind produces a thin, efficient edge behind the bevel that excels at the push cuts, carving strokes, and feather sticking tasks that define serious bushcraft work. At 0.16" thick, this blade has the spine strength needed for batoning through hardwood without hesitation.

The OD Green G10 handle scales are contoured for a confident, four-finger grip that stays secure through wet, cold, and high-stress conditions — with a red G10 base layer visible at the edges that adds a pop of color and visual distinction. Hollow pins reduce weight while maintaining full structural integrity throughout the full tang construction. A lanyard hole at the base of the handle provides wrist attachment or pack tethering options. The included dark brown leather belt sheath features snap retention strap and — critically — a ferro rod attachment loop, keeping your fire-starting capability integrated with your most important cutting tool.
