The 2.5" random pattern Damascus blade is hand forged from Silver Stag's own Damascus steel — a pattern-welded billet made from 1095 and 15N20 high carbon tool steels forge welded and folded repeatedly to produce 150 to 250 layers. The random pattern creates a stunning, organic visual in the blade that is completely unique to every knife Silver Stag makes — no two DTG2.5 blades will ever look exactly alike. The combination of layered hard and soft steels produces a blade with outstanding flexibility, toughness, and cutting performance, with the invisible micro-serrations that the layered steel structure creates along the edge for exceptional slicing ability. Silver Stag hand profiles and hand grinds each Damascus blade — a process that requires genuine skill and produces results that no factory knife can replicate. The clip point geometry provides both the sharp, precise tip needed for caping and detail work and the belly for controlled skinning cuts. Note that the nickel in the 15N20 steel provides good corrosion resistance, but a light coat of oil after use is recommended to keep the blade in peak condition.

The genuine North American antler slab handle is individually hand cut, polished, and pinned through the full tang blade by Silver Stag craftsmen. Because antler is a natural material, no two handles are ever identical — the color, texture, grain pattern, and character of your Guide will be unique to you. The slab construction gives the knife outstanding balance and control in the hand for the precise field work this knife was designed to perform. At just 6" overall this is a compact, nimble knife that fits easily in a vest pocket or on a belt. Comes with a handmade leather sheath.
