FP10119 Spanish Pistol 17th century- Gold/Brass
The original of this pistol featured an exquisitely carved ivory butt cap, but the most notable feature of its design was the Miquelet (or Spanish) lock, which was one of the most simple and reliable of the flint and striker lock mechanisms. Characterized by the strong external hammer spring, the lock had fewer parts than other systems and was adopted by many other countries around the Mediterranean.
